Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy, also known as extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), is a medical treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing and reduce pain in certain musculoskeletal conditions. The “shockwaves” used in this therapy are high-energy sound waves that are generated and focused on specific areas of the body. Each session typically lasts 20 to 30 minutes. The number of sessions required varies depending on the specific condition and individual response to treatment. Your physiotherapist or chiropractor will design a tailored treatment plan during your assessment.
